Annual Can’t Miss Events

St Lucie has many events you don’t want to miss. Most community events have activities for the entire family to enjoy. We have listed a few favorites below. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do!

FALL

Annual Muster at the Navy Seal Museum

This annual event is held at the Navy Seal Museum in Fort Pierce, FL which happens to be the only museum dedicated solely to preserving the history of the United States Navy SEALS and their predecessors. This event will have a live Navy SEAL Tactical Demonstration, honorary keynote speakers, live music, food trucks and a Kids Fun Zone.

Bonfire & Hayride at McCarty Ranch Preserve in Port St. Lucie

Bring your partner and all the little buckaroos, too! There will be live music, a petting zoo, pony rides, horseback riding, fishing tournament and hayrides for everyone. McCarty Ranch Preserve is 3,107 acres of old Florida pine lands and is known for its hiking, fishing, kayaking and biking.

Treasure Coast Wine & Ale Trail Festival

Florida locals and visitors will enjoy locally made craft beer, wine, and cider all crafted right here on the Treasure Coast. Enjoy a fun event with tasty brews, food trucks & entertainment. 

Indian River Lagoon Science Festival

A family-fun event where kids can get a chance to build and launch rockets with NASA, dig for fossils, see rocks that glow, and even make slime! Dozens of exhibitors from throughout the Indian River Lagoon will have hands-on activities and demonstrations exploring different areas of science, including agriculture, chemistry, entomology, computer science, ecology, marine science and more!

WINTER

Annual Sights and Sounds Festival and Parade in Downtown Fort Pierce

Enjoy a full day of activities for festival goers of all ages. There is bound to be a visit from Santa and after the parade enjoy the lighting of the tree and dancing lights.

SPRING

St. Patrick’s Day Festival in Port St. Lucie

Join the Friendly Sons and Daughters of Ireland and the City of Port St. Lucie for a salute to St. Patrick and the Irish Culture. Traditional Irish Cuisine, beer, music and other culinary delights will be accompanied by Irish dancing, displays, arts and crafts, carnival rides and fun for the whole family.

Sandy Shoes Seafood & Brew Festival in Downtown Fort Pierce

Sandy Shoes Seafood & Brew is one of the most unique and exciting events in- it draws over 10,000 people! The festival showcasing local artists, performers and best seafood on the Treasure Coast.

Annual Fort Pierce Oyster Festival

This one-day festival celebrates Fort Pierce’s waterfront and its bounty with delicious oysters, seafood, land lubber food, live music, arts and crafts, river science symposium, a children’s area and fun for the whole family.

SUMMER

Freedomfest in Port St. Lucie

Join in on the most popular event offered by the City of Port St. Lucie. Freedomfest is how Port St. Lucie celebrates its pride in our nation and our community. The Freedomfest celebration begins at 4 p.m. with live bands, food and refreshments, games and activities for kids and families, arts & crafts vendors and much, much more. The event culminates with one of the area’s largest and most dramatic fireworks display beginning at 9 p.m. (weather permitting) at the Civic Center.

Stars Over St. Lucie

Celebrate the 4th of July with the City of Fort Pierce and Main Street Fort Pierce at the Fort Pierce City Marina Square. Enjoy live music, food, arts and craft vendors and of course fun for the kids. Festival goers will also have a breath-taking view of the fireworks display over the Indian River.
