Home to four golf courses designed by legendary architects, PGA Village presents a variety of golf experiences perfect for a group of golfers with diverse skill levels. The Wanamaker Course is considered one of the most scenic layouts in Florida and its designer, Tom Fazio seamlessly incorporates the natural habitat, routing holes around wetlands, through native palmetto and sabal palms, and over subtle slopes. The bunkers are the most striking feature; a trademark of Fazio, large sand traps guarded fairways and greens adding a risk-reward element that’s tough to find in Florida.

Food For Thought

Following your round, cool off at the Taplow Pub. Your post play feast will be casual and delicious and can include a round of celebratory beers and lunch. The burgers are juicy and can be piled high with sautéed onions, cheese and thick-cut bacon (it never hurts to add bacon, right?). Spend some time improving your game at the PGA Center for Golf Learning and Performance. This state-of-the-art, 35-acre complex truly makes PGA Village a one-of-a-kind golf destination. Owned and operated by the PGA of America, Golf Digest pegged it among the 10 best practice facilities in the country, and it doesn’t take long to see why. Take a private lesson to improve your bunker play or use the TrackMan Shot performance program to review your swing data in real-time. There’s also group clinics to sharpen your fundamentals.

Dye-d and Gone to Heaven

Be sure to book a tee time on the Dye Course. Designed by one of golf’s most revered and creative architects, it’s ranked among the top 20 in Florida for good reason: it’s as beautiful as it is challenging. Playing from the “Standard Tees,” the Dye Course presents a completely different golf experience. Pete Dye masterfully infuses his signature-style bunkers and devilish greens into an amazing layout meandering around the 100-acre “Big Mamu” wetlands.

While it’s nearly impossible to pick a favorite hole, par-5 7th hole is one of the most entertaining par 5s you’ll encounter. A huge bunker runs down the left side forcing golfers to aim right.
